I was reading the paper (Chicago Sun Times) today and saw a story about a cat who got lost in a tornado. His name is Smoky, and his mobile house was destroyed the beginning of June. His owner found him just last week on September 15th. I thought I had it rough spending half the night outside! I bet Smoky is glad to be home. Here is a picture of me in the basement crawl space practicing for a tornado. I have my little cappuccino machine with me for emergencies.
My advice to you today is “Always be prepared for natural disasters or getting lost.”

That is great advice, Key! We are so glad the kitty found it’s way back home. And you are very smart to be prepared with your cappuccino machine. We have to be prepared for hurricanes here in FL.

Bean talk about this cause there was tornado here last week. If you hear tornado coming (sounds like train – what is train and what it sound like?) you should take cover. But it Florida. WHERE you supposed to take cover. IT FLAT. Oh well, doesn’t matter, I will make my furs stand on end and hiss and spit and scare nasty tornado ways.

Wate, yoo haf yoor own capacheeno masheen? We are in awe! We have an “escape kit” an “emergency pak” and our very own “first aid kit”. Mom’s a little anal retentive.

We live in south Florida, so we have a special hurricane preparedness kit. But we do not have a cappuccino machine in it. Maybe we are not as prepared as we thought…

I recommend keeping a stash of cat food in your hideout in case you get hungry.
